This is the absolute ultimate (pro!)

Good morning all

I thought I'd better pop on and share my box projects that I made for the Crafter's Companion 2 year celebration on Hochanda TV.

I just love using the Crafters Companion Ulimate Pro (and the scoreboards) to make 3d projects.  The Ultimate Pro was the very first 'real' craft tool I ever bought - long before I had a die cutting machine, I still use it in so much of my crafting, always for making boxes, making card bases, bows on the bow maker and its handy for cutting out shapes from the embossing boards too.  - it's probably the best craft investment I ever made.

Anyway....
the Crafter's Companion anniversary shows are in full swing on Hochanda
and the Ultimate Pro is the weekend WOW deal - together with some extra sweet treats project boards and the sweet treats CD and the most beautiful limited edition Floral treats A3 card

Here are just a few of the boxes I made with the sweet treats board
and the A3 card.  They are really very easy to make
and are lovely gift boxes for all sorts of occasions

Large Milk carton box with decoupagedtag and panel cut from the A3 card

A gable end box decorated with bows
and bunting from the sweet treats CD rom)

a 'noodle box' with die cut flowers
and a bow and papers from the cd

a lidded popcorn style box decorated with elements from the
swwet treats board and CD rom and a die cut flower

Fiona Clayton is back on Hochanda today at midday with lots of lovely demos
The ultimate Pro is the craft tool everyone needs!!

See You later!

Christmas is on the way so Poinsettias are the flower of the day!!

Good morning all

Ok - who's getting ready for Christmas lol!
In the craft world it probably starts inabout July - but if you want to make your own Christmas cards with lots of time to spare for this Christmas - you should start .... last month

At Winter Wonderland Challenge we encourage you to make cards all year round and we have a lovely new challenge starting today.  It's a special rememberence of our lovely Eileen who was our previous DT leader. She sadly passed away very unexpectedly this time last year.  So this challenge is just a little tribute from the team to a lovely lady.

our theme is

Anything Christmas Goes

our fabulous sponsors provided the team with some lovely images
and I just had to choose this lovely image
called Poinsettia available HERE

I printed it out 4 times and coloured it up with my Spectrum Noir pens trying to add a bit of realism with touches of red and green.  Then I fussy cut and embossed 3 of them  them using the basic flower shaping mold from Heartfelt Creations to give it dimension.  I really like how it turned out - I particularly like that the image isn't symetrical because it makes it look more realistic, that isn't the norm for me because generally I'm a pretty symetrical girl!

I wasn't 100% sure whether i liked this card totally white - so i cut two frames for it - this is the other version - what do you think? - black or white?
(yes the first one's a better photo lol)

Our sponsor for this challenge is

who are offering a  $10 coupon to spend in their store

This is what I did

Image - Poinsettia from Imagine That
Printed onto copy paper
Coloured with  - Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter's Companion
Card - Sheena Stamping card and black card from Crafter's Companion
Embossing folder - poinsettia folder by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions
Die cut (part of) Holly Latice frame also by Sue Wilson for Creative Expresions
Sparkler embellishment from Creative Expressions

Hope you'll join in with us this week at Winter Wonderland

Babies, Children and Men.....!

Good morning all

I'm still on my Spectrum Noir ColourTint pencil obsession and found another great image that was perfect for the muted tones of these fab pencils.

There are only 24 pencils in the whole set - but you can colour just about any image with just those 24 - check them out at Crafter's companion HERE

This one if a DT card for the challenge over at

our theme is

Babies Children and Men
(I'm sure they all have something in common!!)

I'm a bit late this week -don't tell the boss!!

I love this type of image for men's cards - a simple card style with a statement image and just a sentiment to fit the occassion and its good to go.  I can never decide whether my favourite style to make is this or Shabby Chic..... might just have to practice a bit more lol

This is what I did....

Image -from  justinklined (great stamps for just about any occassion!)
Printed onto Sheena Stamping card from Crafter's Companion
Coloured with Spectrum Noir Colourtint pencils - from Crafter's Companion
Papers -from the Downton Abbey pad from Crafter's Companion
Kraft Card - Crafter's Companion
Sentiments form LOTV and Appleblossom Stamps
Distress ink - TH Distresses Corduroy

Hope you'll join in with our challenge this week - I can't wait to see what you coe up with!

Words of love.....

Hi all

I'm sure those three little words mean all sorts of things to all sorts of people - me I thought - The Beatles.  One of their probably lesser known songs but when you hear it you'll know it imediately - just like every other Beatles song lol

We have a new challenge this week at

Fab'n'Funky Challenges
very topical

Valentine - say it with Words

In other 'words' you must have words on your valentine project

here's my card made with stamps provided by our sponsor this week

and with another nod to the Beatles - just because I can! - the sentiment says
"All you need is Love"

our lovely sponsor this week is

Mama Makes

and the stamps are the All my love set available HERE
there are lots of lovely sentiments, including the one I used and that cute couple, on the sheet.

When I saw this lovely image I knew it was perfect to fit into a heart.  And after working with the lovely heart easel dies last week I also knew the perfect hearts to use to make this card -and this design just sort of  popped into my head!!

This is what I did.....

Gatefold card blank - Crafter's Companion
Dies - Heart easel dies - Crafter's Companion
           Tag dies - MFT

Easels are the way forward!

Happy Saturday!

I just had to share some more of my Easel cards made with the fabulous new dies by Crafter's Companion that are being launched on Hochanda TV on Monday

This is the floral easel, it's a lovely scalloped circle shape that has a beautiful floral overlay (which is in two parts so it can be used in various ways)

On my first card I used one overlay at the top of the card and one of the flowers to decorate the base,  so that I  had lots of space to add a coloured image

on my second card I used both floral overlays and coloured them with distress inks and finished it very simply with a pretty bow.  i also decorated the base with the overlays.

Easel cards have always been my favourite shape to make, I remember a blogging friend saying to me years ago that easel cards mean you have double the space to add embellishments.  There are four lovely shapes to choose from in this new launch, so lots more choice of lovely space to decorate on your card!!

This is what I did....

Both cards -
Easel die - Dies'ire from Crafter's Companion
Card used for base- centural pearl from Crafter's Companion
Collall All purpose glue,Tacky glue and 3d glue gel
red liner tape - I always use this to secure the easel to the base as it gives a strong bond

1st card-
Word Dies Diesire classiques only words and Sara's Signature Together Forever Celebrate die
Sheena stamping card
Digi image from Tiddly Inks
Coloured with Spectrum noir  colourtint pencils
Papers –Prima Rondelle (an old pad that I was so happy to still have!)

Black card

2nd Card
"With Love" die –free with  Crafter's Companion magazine issue 17
Coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks

Have a great weekend!

and I have these cute little penguins (with boxes!) to share mounted onto one of those fab kinetic cards - I love these they make suprisingly quick and easy cards

the image is Christmas penguins available HERE

It's coloured with my Spectrum noir sparkle pens but I'm afraid you can't see much sparkle in this photo - between the shape of the card, the mirri card and the sparkle this was not aneasy card to photograph at all

The image was provided our sponsor this week

This is what I did....

Image - Christmas Penguins from Sasayaki Glitter
Coloured with Spectrum noir sparkle pens
Card base -Circle Kinetic card base from Crafter's Companion with Let it snow insert
